Publications Chant de mon pays. Publishing house founded in 1977 at Mont-St-Hilaire near Montreal. Under the presidency of Joan Castell since its founding, the firm has published mostlylight music from Quebec and has issued songs and arrangements for chorus in sheet or book forms. Among authors and composers whose works have been published are Beau Dommage, Pierre Bertrand, Gerry Boulet, Manuel Brault, Edith Butler, Céline Dion, Clémence Desrochers, François Dompierre, Claude Dubois, Raoul Duguay, Jean-Pierre Ferland, André Gagnon, Daniel Hétu, Pauline Julien, Willie Lamothe, Jean Lapointe, Luc de Larochellière, Daniel Lavoie, ClaudeLéveillée, Marjo, Jacques Michel, Paul Piché, Ginette Reno, Michel Rivard, Richard Séguin, and Stéphane Venne. The scores of Starmania and of La Légende de Jimmy, both by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon, have been published as well as collections devoted to French singers such as Francis Cabrel, Yves Duteil, and Renaud. By 1991 the catalogue of Chant de mon pays had reached more than 800 titles.
