Danièle (b Dorice) Dorice (b Angers). Singer, teacher (born in Quebec City, Quebec, on 23 July 1935; died in Outremont, Quebec, on 12 March 2018). After singing in Quebec City cabarets, she performed in London, then made extensive tours in Europe, South America, and the Far East.

After singing in Quebec City cabarets, she performed in London, then made extensive tours in Europe, South America, and the Far East. On her return to Canada in 1963 she sang in several cabarets and hotels, then went abroad again for a tour of 11 countries, including the USA, France, and Japan. In 1965 she made the first of many tours for the CBC, visiting stations of the Canadian armed forces all over the world. She was hostess for the TV programs 'Comment allez-vous' (CBC, 1966-7) and 'Le Caf' Conc'' (CFCF-TV, broadcast 1969-70 on the CTV network) and made guest appearances on several others in Canada and the USA. She sings in nine languages, and her programs offer a variety of styles. 'As the situation requires it, Danièle Dorice is tender, gay or sad. Then she displays infectious energy for ''Step to the Rear'.' Mlle Dorice becomes a whole parade in herself' (Ottawa Le Droit, 3 Feb 1968). She founded Les Productions Danièle Dorice Inc in 1971, an artistic agency located in a Montreal suburb, which in 1974 also began to administer a music-hall school where Dorice teaches voice, dance, and staging to aspiring entertainers. In the 1970s Dorice performed on cruise ships, in Montreal hotels, and in Florida with her Doricettes. She recorded the LP Danièle Dorice, la joie de vivre (1971 Astra AS-1002). She is the sister of Denyse Angé and of the drummer Georges Angers, who was her music director 1972-8.
