Clara (Mable) (m Allan) Carey. Contralto, b Millgrove 8 Aug 1879, d Hamilton 26 Dec 1974. She taught singing privately and was a soloist at Centenary United Church in the early 1900s. She was a founding member of the Elgar Choir, as was her husband, George Allan, who was noted also as a recitalist in Hamilton and the area.
